Three hours ago, my father-in-law, who works for GM, called because he is borrowing my Pontiac Grand Am and could not find the trunk release. I also have a Pontiac Vibe, and I have noticed that apparently very little thought went into the layout of the gauges and knobx - it's like they just stuck things in where ever they might fit.

Is this a GM thing or what?

I rent a room out in my home to a young single mother who is applying for food stamps. The social worker asked her to provide receipts for rent. She usually pays me cash and I give her a handwritten rent receipt like the kind you buy at Walgreens. Is this sufficient or will they want something more? I am trying to help her since she has been through a lot of difficulties in her life. Please advise. Thanks!
