Next year should still be the real test, with American Airlines and Virgin America inaugurating service, plus a new entrant called Row 44, but JetBlue is trying to hustle ahead of them all. We've posted about this before, but this latest move is yet another sign that it might actually be happening. The company will be offering limited Internet access on a flight from New York to San Francisco next week. How limited? Well, fliers will be able to check email if they've got one of two Blackberry models, or they can use a laptop to access their Yahoo! mail. General web-surfing, though, will be barred. Still, we're hoping it works. Even an hour off-line is just too much to bear.-Gregory Mone
The iPhone should be part of the test since it also has push emaill.

On the service side, I do think they'll manage the kinks on the kitchen side and get that down, but I'm not sure how they'll adjust the intangibles. How the wait is managed if the kitchen gets slammed; refilling the wine/water glasses promptly; not replacing wine glasses when a new bottle is opened (last two are my pet peeves).
The bar is someplace that one can drop in for good bites and a scotch at the bar--in your beach attire, I'm told.
I think this has the potential to be really successful and I'm so rooting for her to be.

This is good thinking from Americans, but blackberry will not be enough. They should also contact with other mobile companies too.
